Dana Hawks – Bio

Dana Hawks is a dedicated professional whose life has been shaped by her unwavering commitment to two passions: hospitality and animal welfare. Building on a foundation in Hospitality and Tourism from WCU, Dana embarked on a journey into viticultural studies that spanned almost two decades, recently passing her level one WSET certification.

Her career began at county Animal Control as shelter supervisor, forming lasting connections and solidifying her commitment for helping the underdog. Dana’s involvement with FEMA, HSUS, and NC Emergency Services further underscored her devotion to animal welfare, as she deployed for various critical missions, including hoarding, natural disasters, and fighting rings.

Dana’s multifaceted enthusiasm led her to pursue training as a veterinary assistant at the local SPCA and manage a boarding and grooming facility, where she continued to make a positive impact on the lives of animals and humans in need.

Relocating to Virginia, Dana added a third passion to her life as a devoted wife and mother. Now, as she joins a new team, she brings her wealth of experience and boundless excitement, confident that with compassion and pursuit, every day a difference can be made.
